Linked Finance Reviews
Linked finance recently changed it's terms and conditions to be less investor friendly. They charge 1.2% for cash not invested so you are being charged a fee for on deposit cash. No bank in the country is charging negative interest to retail depositors so this is totally out of step with norms. They also charge €5 to withdraw less than €250. Both of these fees came in in 2021. The issue I have is I put my money into linked finance years ago before these extra charges and now I can't get it out. They are not regulated by the Central Bank so can literally do whatever they want with regards changing terms after people put money in. All I can do now is get my money out as soon as I can but these fees are totally unavoidable. Also loads of their loans are not being paid at the moment and they are not even bothering to put up the latest situation. One is 3 months overdue and the last update was January. They treat the people that have actually lent the money like rubbish.
Twice withdrawals took nearly over a month and constant chasing. Aside from that new charges coming are so disappointing. You can only withdraw free of charge once a month with minimum withdrawal balance allowed €250 , but any cash balance on your account over €50 in any month charged 1.25% fee, so you'll end up paying 1.25% on any cash balance over €50 on your account on top of 1% monthly mgt fee already charged by Linked Finance. Oh yeah unless you have invested in a loan in last 3 months every 3 months then no charge, basically no way to circumvent charges and take cash from repayments when you need it. Feels nearly as bad as a bank!Other factors of concern is the multiple loan tranches to same businesses. There seems to be push for loan volume to get to profitability, be interesting to see impact on loan book performance once it reaches maturity. Stats and interface are good and they provide figures for overall performance which is better than a lot of other peer to peer platforms.
Way better sites out there, I would stay clear of Linked finance. They charge a lender fee were other platforms don't and after the lone term is done there is a 5 euro charge to withdraw your money.
I tried Linked finance as an investment opportunity. There seem to be only few companies looking for funds via LF at the moment, so I had to withdrawn my funds as i wouldn't make good profit. I liked the idea of supporting local business and the system was easy to use. I would prefer better communication from customer service, who never answered some emails. Perhaps when the company gains more popularity, it may become an interesting option.
We were pleasantly surprised by the ease of use of the Linked Finance facility . No fuss , a minimum of paperwork and swift responses . All round , a very efficient way of raising additional working capital .Quite unlike some previous experiences with major financial institutions. I would have no hesitation in commending them to any business owner . Cyril Walsh , General Manager , St. Patrick's Distillery Ltd .
Cyril thanks for the fantastic review, we hope you guys have grown a lot as a result.
As a UK investor, I have been dealing with Linked Finance for just over 2 years and I have found it to be the best P2P that I am invested in by far. It provides very decent interest rates with a very low default rate on loans made...none so far, in my case. It has a very clear simple website which is very easy to follow. I'd highly recommend it for investment.
I found Linked Finance so easy to deal with and the whole process was simplified by the expert back up of the team. I raised the finance I needed and I now have refurbished the Cafe as planned. The reaction to it by my customers has been great and the feedback is just brilliant! It has motivated the whole team at Berfranks to do better and without the help of Linked Finance this would not have been possible. I would highly recommend them for raising finance for your business.
Frank we're absolutely delighted at the impact using Linked Finance has had on your business. Thanks for the review, it's great you guys are doing so well.
Getting the worst company. At first was ok, now they just charging incredible amount of money for nothing. 5 euro withdrawal fee if you take out less than 250. Problem is you can not do anything as you can not withdraw your investment so this clown can change terms anytime and if you not agree you still can not get your money so they can charge you as much as they want. unfortunately still some time to finish my lending and then never ever use this clowns.
Spoke to Linked Finance re Loan very positive to deal with at the start. Alot of information needed which is understandable and every time we were met with 'yes this looks good to go'. Even received emails to the extent of how the loan would be assessed and who would be dealing with it. A week later and several phone calls LATER, from ours side follow up, I get an email to say sorry but no. Not very professional to waste peoples time and lead clients down the garden path.As I said in the email a phonecall would have been more courteous.
The guys at linked finance have been amazing! They helped me on my journey to taking my business to the next level! So professional and level headed to deal with and extremely positive which is exactly what entrepreneurs in this country need when trying to get ideas off the groundThanks again guysWe look forward to working with you again in the futureLisaThe Rolling Donut
