If I had the option to give them no stars I would. Please don't waste your time with them. I went through a broker who recommended them. After 3 months of them constantly asking for same paperwork I have been providing they declined without giving a reason as to why they rejected. My mistake i read there reviews but I still decided to do application with them. Please don't use these lenders.

Avoid this company at all costs! Absolutely disgraceful service. Quick to take a payment from you for a valuation fee, but that’s the only thing they are quick at. 15 weeks ago I had an offer on a house accepted. The same house that I have just lost this week as I still do not have my mortgage offer through, Every single piece of paperwork they have asked for they have had back within hours of request. Which then you would then wait a minimum of 10 days for a response. In fact getting any sort of communication from them is like pulling teeth, Looking at the reviews on here it would seem I am not the only one. Would seem to me like they take the payment for a valuation fee and then do absolutely sod all apart from mess people around!!! absolutely disgusted with the way they have dealt with my application. Would advise anyone using them to look for an alternative unless you want to spend months in the wilderness wondering what an earth is going on!!!

Be careful. Kept me waiting for months before making a decision. Which was a No. Took valuation fees, despite knowing my financial situation. I would stay away.

Horrible company. Wasted £500 on a valuation report that they won't provide me a copy with 'because of policy'.Computer says no kind of company. Please avoid

Simply the worst financial services company I have ever dealt with. Horrific service levels, unable to escalate, ever changing requests for docs, inaccurate Underwriting. 3.5 months from AIP to having no choice but to pull out as we lost our house. I implore any potential customer to avoid. The most distressing experience I could ever describe - and all at exorbitant interest rates and fees. FOS / FCS need to review their mis practice.

I’ve had a terrible experience with Vida- they are incredibly unresponsive, we were told we could request for an exception to getting the valuation report as our property was down valued by 85k! We waited for two weeks after sending in the rationale and our request but heard nothing! Just kept getting told we will get a response soon! Everyone was totally uncooperative and rude and it’s just been a terrible experience, we are still waiting and since we put a deposit of 5k down on the property we need the report to get that money back! I would appreciate it someone could get back to us on this

Very disappointed but I should have known considering the low rating. We applied for a mortgage with them due to a CCJ. As soon as we paid the fees, they started asking for tens of documents, proof of this and that, constant questioning and more and more and more documents; we were basically made to feel like second hand citizens because of a CCJ in my husband's file. It's a CCJ, not a murder charge! It took them a month of silence to suddenly say they want 851264785 other documents, so the vendor put the property back on the market and we lost our dream home. Thanks for that, Vida!

I recently took out a morgage with VIDA. I cannot thank them enough for granting our wish. We have a home, where other lenders turned us down due to advese credit. I went in thinking they had a a bad rep, that has very much changed and I could not fault them at ANY stage.

Read the reviews ... stay awayI would urge anyone to seriously think twice before opting to enter into an agreement with this company. Think with your head and not your heart, there are other options out there in the mid to long term or even short term. Also if a company is so incompetent during the application (first impression) stage imagine what they will be like when they actually have your business. They wouldn't allow us to use our existing solicitors and had to use a packager, both after receiving a dip. More significant expense for us.I won't go into the full ins and outs but after receiving a DIP at the start of September 2020, moving out of our house and into temporary accommodation in November 2020 as our buyer would have pulled; we then received a final date from the vendor to exchange contracts or the sale would fall through. The day before we required the offer Vida rejected our application and won't provide an explanation. Vida initially wouldn't speak to us directly and the packager, Impact Specialist Finance wouldn't speak to our mortgage advisor. It turned out that Vida rejected our application because we had sold our house and moved into temporary accommodation whilst awaiting moving to our new house. VIDA you have to sell a house to buy one, in 99% of cases. I also know for a fact you have approved people who have been of 'no fixed abode' in the weeks leading up to their mortgage offer from you.I would have pulled out back in November/December as I really didn't want to do business with a company that treats people like this, but my partner had her heart set on this house. If you want the most stressful period of your life then apply for a mortgage with Vida. All they have got to say is 'our service levels aren't where they would like to be' sorry that's not good enough. There are other providers out there and other houses, do your health a favour and avoid like the plague ... or the virus. We are now homeless and 000's out of pocket.I would also suggest to Vida to think about the data protection act with some of the responses to reviews I have read.

I have bad credit and vida were the only lender who took a chance on me. To my shock i read the reviews and spent days really nervous about this company i was expecting them to be really terrible and extremly slow to my suprise it literally only took 3 weeks to get a decision which was accepted.. i was completely over the moon.. my mortgage advisor has never dealt with vida and he said the process was as smooth as any other company he uses. Every stage we passed they sent an email to him with an update. Yes you need to provide documentation bank statements etc but this was not very difficult at all im about to move into my new house tomorrow. I put a 20% deposit down which is expected as its a big risk for a lender to borrow money to someone with bad credit but I'm completely over the moon that they gave me a chance. Anybody with bad credit please give vida a chance i know everybody's circumstances are different but I'm a first time buyer and found the whole process amazing and quick so dont always go off the reviews.Remember people tend to only leave reviews when something is bad so just think how many good reviews there would be if people left one like meThank you vida
