I applied on 30/10/20 at about 8pm or later and received a call back from David Perera identifying himself as a representative of Loan Society though online they are Doorstep Loans.Anyways, he proceeded by identifying my name, the amount I applied for and explaining that I have been approved, great. So I thought! I thought nothing bad.First, after explaining details he demanded that I pay approximately £160 as a security to the company. This will be my first payment, so now I have 11months left of £160. He told me immediately after, your loan of £1,500 will be paid in 30mins after transferring the money to a bank account.Okay let’s talk about *transferring* I ask why do I need to transfer? That’s not normal practice. He said security. I thought nothing.I became alert when someone else called during that 30min and said oh “sorry that this wasn’t explain to you but you now need to pay a further £299” when I questioned what is this for she said “I fall below the tax threshold” news to me! I refused at first then she said “let me inform David so he call and explain” David then call and explain which still doesn’t make any else. He then further stated that once I paid the further £299 I will then be paid back. So rather than transferring my loan of £1500 he will transfer £1799. I said that make no sense!Desperate times forced people to believe stupid things even though I was analysing his ridiculous explanations. I reluctantly sent sent the money by bank transfer again! Stupid me.He confirmed my transfer. 1 min he said your money will be paid, then he demanded a further £50! For what? Producing documents! Please does that make any sort of sense!?I immediately ask back for monies I paid and request a cancellation for this so called application! He refused!I called the police. And long story short it took me 2min to transfer but he said he have to refund back my money in 24hours? Clearly it’s a scam.On multiple occasions during the call, he disconnect the call as now know that I picked up on the scam, call the police and demanding back my money which is rightfully mine.He refused to transfer me to a Manager (obviously there is non) he started to label and Discriminate me by saying “I am too hostile to be transferred to his manager” uurmmm so o should be calm when someone trying to take away my money?Smh the police is in this case! Fraud team too. The bank account is Santander bank. You will receive the full length of the law.Please stay away and I hope this honest review wake a lot of hardworking people like myself.
