I am very disappointed with the service and the jewellery that I bought from the store couple of months ago. I bought a 22k gold ring not hallmarked which changed colour to white after a few times I wore it. Iam a regular customer there and have purchased lot of gold jewellery . I had bought a 22k gold ring cost £155/- due to the colour changing, I went to the store and showed the ring to the staff, they told me that they have to ask the area Manager Robert what to do as it had crossed the 28 days of return or exchange policy. I agreed to that and came home. The next day I was asked to come back to store as the area Manager told the staff member to test the ring and let him know, when I went to the store the ring was tested as 22k. I told the staff member that I understand that it 22k but the ring has changing its colour to white and I don't want it and would like a refund. They told me that sometimes jewellery change colour due to reaction with cosmetics and creams but in my case that was not possible because i don't use any of it as I have very sensitive skin, I use only pure coconut oil so that rules it out. The staff told me that she has to call the manager to let him know about the test and my decision, I had to wait for almost 2 hours for the decision and when the area manager finally called his decision was that I could not get my refund because the 28 days had already passed. I was so upset firstly being the reason that I had to wait for so long for the decision, the area Manager could have told that in the first instance that if the ring is tested 22k then they will not able to do a refund. I would not have wasted my time. Secondly it is not my fault that the ring changed colour as I have to deal with it, it's my full right to get a refund if the item that I bought is faulty, it's not that I have gone back after years of wearing the ring. Lastly the area manager called a different store to deal with the situation when the member of that store had not even seen the ring. As It was a matter of trust being a loyal regular customer i feel in this instance the situation should have been handled differently, He should have considered a refund or even a store credit would do, but unfortunately none of this happened and I had to return disappointed.
This is a good store and great staff I think there all great just one problem though they have to be more thoura they rush rush rush twice I have been there to pawn to.pieces and they have turned me away I have to them to.other shops and got 110 on one and 80 on the other be more on the ball you will make more money stop rushing
The 1st time I've ever been to a pawnbrokers & the staff made it so simple & clear for me, They were extremely helpful & friendly. Would totally recommend to anybody.
