Thank you all so much for the best customer service ever! The stuff we're friendly and very patient with me after I misplaced my proof of residence. They even adviced me where to reprint it and were willing to wait until I returned as they were about to close. You are all super professional, knowledgeable and an absolute joy to do business with! I am a proud and satisfied new client! Thank you for the warm welcome after Bank of Scotland and Royal Bank turned me away! 🙌

Absolute nightmare trying to get through to the branch via telephone. They have called me about my appointment and I have then spent 2 days trying to call them back to get met with "sorry, your branch cannot take your call". Am now up to 30 calls and still trying. The irony is I am trying to move from my existing bank due to poor customer service! Thank goodness the online and app service is good, but need a branch to make an account joint so have to go through this nightmare.

I've read the comments below and seeing that most people have described this as one of the worst places for customer service, I would definitely agree. If you can avoid it, do so, as much as possible. Bank of Scotland will do your banking too. In fact, the staff when I complained said this numerous times to me. I had one of the WORST customer experiences I've ever had and I used to live in London (lol). I'm still in disbelief that it is supposed to be a serving bank that looks after customer's money and personal details. Here's what to expect: Staff who show threatening behaviour when you pull them up for making numerous errors on your account, a manager who shouts at customers (yes, folks) and staff unable to do simple tasks, so expect to go back in as they will make errors the first time. I was shouted at infront of other customers because I said the staff were incompetent. In their defence I think their command of English wasn't great so i dont think knew what that meant. Here it is for reference: Not having or showing the necessary skills to do something successfully. This sums up Halifax on Sauchihall Street and its staff to a tee.

If anyone us wondering what is meant by the British productivity gap than you could do no worse than popping into this branch and observe what goes on there. I queued for 20 minutes today to pay some bills with cash. One struggling trainee on the till and 5 of her lazy colleagues standing in the foyer chatting. One of the lazy bunch kept coming up and apologizing for the delay. Utterly rubbish customer service!

So so helpful over the phone. I think her name was maybe Rachel (I’m not sure!) but she went over and above to fix my problem when I couldn’t get answers anywhere else. She kept me updated and phoned me back regularly. Cannot recommend this branch enough

There is a tall women there refused to open student account for me because am black kkkkkkkkk.

WORST BANK IN GLASGOW - CLOSE IT DOWN!!! Kirsty, the branch manager is SO rude and obnoxious. The other staff are terrible. I dont normally write reviews but the ones below which paint it rosey are blatantly by friends of staff trying to combat all the negative reviews. Believe the negative ones!! This place is a disgrace. Worst customer service EVER.

Despicable service from a bank who are slowly going down the tubes..... counterstaff can't speak english and the financial advisors are from eastern Europe, had so much bad service from the Halifax and sauchiehall street that I have shifted banks thankfully, one of the things which made me angry was cancelling direct debits twice in the branch and money being taken out by the company who I thought I had cancelledWon't go anywhere near Halifax again, need to a change at the top as none of the staff in the branch are capable of working in a customer facing environment, even the branch manager needs to go back to a classroom environment and learn management skills
