Refused to let me in at 2:05pm because of reduced hours during lockdown (closing time 2pm). I can understand them sticking to the clock during regular working hours, but sending customers away seconds after an arbitrarily early closing time is rude & childish.

I answer the one you have is an old one but I can give you my new one now . Sorry you have failed to answer my question so I can’t help you drop into a bank with I’d and update your mobile number . Seriously Iv been on hold for 50 minutes ? . Yes computer says no help for you today . Drop into bank and I will close account then unhappy is an understatement.

Surly ,nasty and unhelpful. I'm told as a Bank of Scotland customer that I'm able to pay money into a Halifax and can do everything I could do in either bank but the mean spirited management always declines to assist refusing to do the job they are getting paid to do from their parent group which partially is still aflot thanks to the government bailout it got. I mention this because I've found the banks have become less helpful and user friendly since that earth shaking moment of history.

I would advise to be careful when switching to Halifax. What they don't tell you :- your overdraft limit is not transferred- if you come from any bank owned by LLOYDS BANKING GROUP, you won't be eligible to receive the £100What happened to me:I was quite short the month I switched and I counted on that £100 for switching. I went on Halifax and started the switch, at no moment in the switch even after I entered my Bank of Scotland account number was clearly stated I was not eligible for the £100 because LLOYDS owned Bank of Scotland. I switched and waited for the £100 which I never received, because it is the same trust therefore I was not eligible.I called them to hate and told them that if I can't have my 100 pounds incentive because it is the same "bank", then why don't I have the overdraft I was allowed in my old bank (if it is all the same after all)?I finished the month eating pasta every day. I had to buy several flight tickets to go to France for stag and wedding as the best man, therefore it was not my best month, but either my overdraft allowance or the 100 pounds would have been enough.I have told them on the phone that if I had known I was not to receive the 100 pounds then I would never have switched, Bank of Scotland is a good bank in which I was allowed a £400 overdraft for hard times. Now I am limited to a £100 overdraft and no £100 on top for switching everything to them. I have managed to get £50 after calling them hating. Banks don't give money away unless they are at fault. Don't let yourself lured into false promises made of big lines on a website. Read every single line you find, they are trying to put it in your backside.Poor showing from Halifax, I will be sure to tell anyone they make big promises that are definitely not backed up by their written very tiny T&C's. When will we ever have a company showing loud and clear when you can or cannot be eligible for an offer?!?People might say I should have read, I said they should have told me everything I needed to know and be honest rather than hiding information in lines you need a magnifier to read.

Wanted to go in to the Halifax in Princes Street, Edinburgh on Monday 26th August only to find that they are some how following English bank holidays. Did they work on 2nd January to make up for it?

Got always nice service, never have had any issues with stuff or bank. For last 5 years my bank, every time i have turned around they solved issues. Even when I have got appointment and they told they cannot find it in their appointment list, they sorted it out.

Customer service well there isn't any. This branch is a disgrace. The atm ignores currency order on travel cards to charge a conversion fee. My card had pounds and euros and pounds were first priority. Atm ignored this to charge a 2.50 pound fee. Was told if I didn't like it take it up with my bank. WRT. Avoid.
