Applied for a Zopa credit card. Didn’t hear anything for 5 working days. Contacted them via their online messenger only to be told they had no record of me! Was a painful process too. They had even done an affordability check on me (according to my credit file). Online help very slow to respond too.Personally a bad experience with Zopa and they clearly don’t ‘know their customer’ so gave up with them. Applied with a competitor and was accepted in minutes.

Had to leave one star, would of given none if physically possible, Zopa said that they couldn’t work with the car dealer that I was getting the finance for, fob you off every time you ring them with terrible excuses, after all this drama I decided against having the finance with this company and wanted the financial agreement taken down, to which they responded saying it would take 24-48 hours to take down, we are now a week after this was said and it still hasn’t been taken down, furthermore I decided to use a different finance company who told me it would be possible to work with the car dealer and that he didn’t know why Zopa made such a drama of it all, they’re a terrible company who just lie through their teeth, been trying to get in touch with a line manager who always seems to be in meetings or has always ‘just left the building’ which seems oddly convenient for them. For anyone looking, I Would avoid taking finance with the company bunch of con merchants
ABSOLUTE TIME WASTERS. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY**AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE**Do not waste your time with this company! It took them seven days to tell me that they couldn't finance a car. They told me they were happy with the car but not the dealership; they were not satisfied with the vehicle but happy with the dealership. When I asked why and what they could do to get this deal through, Zopa responded, ''We can't look at that information. It's private'' So not only can they not do what they say, they are happy to turn away business without even trying to resolve the matters.

Useless!!! They are fraud , its shows 100% Pre-approved credit card on clear score and after i applied they did my Hard search and after waiting 14 days they declined. These guys are scam they give false commitments just to grab the proposals. Never suggest these company not even for any finance.
Used them for 4 months to improve my credit score via Clearscore (which I'd also avoid!). Payed everything fully on time with no other loans and my credit score went down! This was due to hard searches from Zopa despite them advertising this would not happen in the credit score section of the app. Unhelpful customer service. Ended up closing my account and moving elsewhere - didn't seem to care that I was leaving and offered nothing to rectify the situation
Seems like all the 1 star reviews have been left by complete idiots who either expect to see a return on an investment in 5 months, or who wonder why their credit limit goes down when they max their available credit. Tip invest for 5 years minimum, unless you want to invest in highly volatile assests, then expect to lose your money. If you want to use a credit card effectively stay within 20/25 % of your credit limit and pay it off before your interest kicks in. Zopa were easy to do business with.
Zopa has provided a credit card to someone who has stolen my identity. This has severely damaged my credit file and leaving me on the verge of being homeless.I have called and emailed their complaints and fraud department on numerous occasions to get this resolved, however no one is responding to me, not even a acknowledgment email? The service Zopa has provided has severely impacted my mental health and I feel absolutely helpless. I have raised a formal complaint with the financial ombudsman as companies like this should not be able to operate the way they do. Consumers please be aware of this company!
Zopa are incredible though their loan rates are usually higher than your own bank's. They have always been helpful and understanding if you go through some difficulties. I still remember when they contacted me the last year just when the first lockdown hit us all. I haven't requested nothing but they still offered to help if I need some in terms to temporary reduce my monthly payments to affordable levels according my current circumstances. Thank you lads!
Terrible service to a proven good customer. Avoid taking out or investing with this company. Terrible service and when you finally get to speak to them they fob you off with rubbish. I had a loan with them paid off early no repeat no problems went to reapply for a loan and refused no explanation. My wages are 25000 more than last time my credit rating is great so why??? Refused to help. Avoid them awful experience
