Atrocious customer service, apparently 90 minute waiting time, so you request a call back only for them to call and hang up, literally just trying to cancel finance before the 14 day ends, emailed instruction but response email says 7 DAYS for a response!!! 7 days for a simple response to a cancelation email, absolute joke.Companies like this make me sick, don't even try use 'COVID' and 'Staff Shortages' as an excuse, HIRE MORE STAFF or OUTSOURCE, you must think your customers are idiots but you lot will be the only idiots when you have the FOS and FCA up your backside, watch this space...

Don not use this company I’ve been paying my loan 2 years at £70 a month and it’s only gone down £600 what a joke I’ll save up before I have home improvement next time .

Hitachi have had a devastating impact on my life and future .Where on legal advice , research and advice from various sources confirmed i shoudt be able to have a default removed without issue and on several grounds there was a failure to act .Apparently letters were sent that I never actually recieved . They weren't sent recorded delivery or even via email where there is proof of time and date but via post where I never actually recieved them . I still don't understand how the situation developed or why I've received a default in my name without any communication to myself. A simple phone call would have cleared the issues but then of course its more of a benefit not to properly get in touch but claim to have and create a debt .Please avoid. If purchasing via DFS ot other services pick a different company to finance the purchase.On researching defaults these were a common example with vanquis for unjustifiably implementing them and having to fight to remove them .I'd strongly advice against this company especially if your trusting with your finances .My first negative review sadly and I do itinnthenhopes to prevent others from having their credit files ruined.

Customer service is abysmal. Wasted 1 hour and 15 minutes waiting in the phone queue after work "for a member of the team to help once they're free". No response until their closing time when a team member answered to confirm I had called the wrong number/department and that "calls dont normally take this long".I'll need to try the whole process again tomorrow.

Took 10% of the money and still refused me finance! Now they have my money and I have nothing for it how is this legal?

I was recently approved for finance with these guys. Having been initially contacted due to having been flagged up as having fraud against me in the past. They made the process really easy to deal with them and got me to getting the ok to proceed.Really happy having not had the same experience elsewhere.

I took a loan out with Hitachi & it was really easy to do! The customer experience department were fab to speak to & really helpful when I queried what date my direct debit was - they directed me to their MyHPF site which I didn't know about & now it is even easier to manage :)
